Phimar Patterson*, CFP®
Phimar holds both an undergraduate degree in Accounting and graduate Finance degree from Krannert (Purdue University). He has over 20 years in corporate America working in various financial planning functions with Fortune 100 companies, including AT&T, Coca Cola Enterprises, Hewlett Packard, and Heidelberg. In 2013, Phimar decided to leverage his corporate financial planning experience to the Financial Services arena to better assist families and small business in meeting their financial goals. He started within the industry at MassMutual and has worked at MetLife.
Phimar and his wife of 17 years have two children, a girl and a boy. He loves spending time with his family. In his free time, he is an avid soccer player and coach. He is also a SCUBA Dive Master and believes there is nothing as peaceful as laying on the bottom of the ocean looking up and watching the world swim by.
James Jackson has spent the majority of his career, over 25 years in the automotive industry as a finance manager and general manager. He has an undergraduate degree in Christian Education from Aenon Bible College and an undergraduate degree in Business Leadership from Shorter University. James is an ordained Bishop with Word Church International Interdenominational Fellowship and is the pastor of a growing church the Power of Faith Family Worship Center located in Decatur, GA. James has a passion for teaching people how to improve their lives, and so in 2013 he started with Edward Jones as a Financial Advisor. He later went to work for MetLife Premier Client Group as a Investment Advisor Representative.
As Bishop, James spends a lot of his time educating pastors and parishioners on sound financial management and endowment. James has a wife of 31 years and brags that she has been his girl for over 41 years as his childhood sweetheart. James and his wife have three adult children and the joy of their lives is their 5 granddaughters.
Portia J. Ryan-Gerton*
Portia is an experienced and knowledgeable wealth manager and planner, ready to engage you in the process of aligning your financial aspirations and your financial resources for increased well-being. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.S in Liberal Studies, (Sociology/Behaviorism), and is a Certified Health Behavior Coach, American Institute of Preventive Medicine. Portia has more than 30 years of providing analytical and relationship service to the institutional equity/fixed income trading, municipal bond underwriting and capital markets. In 2016, Portia decided to transition her institutional experience to the retail market where she began with Edward Jones and Mass Mutual.
Portia and her husband of 20 years enjoy traveling and spending time with family. She is seen often volunteering in the community advocating for financial literacy and women’s’ empowerment. She recently received an award from the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, Marietta-Roswell Chapter for her partnership in improving financial literacy in Cherokee, Cobb and North Fulton Georgia (2017-2018).
